Overview
Church-Owned Bible Translation is a philosophy of ministry founded on the belief that God intends to include all believers in every language of the world to steward Scripture and spread the gospel. Therefore, we have developed a methodology called MAST, and several processes for implementing it, to support local churches in translating the Bible for themselves and their communities.
A branch of this methodology supports Deaf believers of many countries in translating Scripture into their own sign languages.
MAST
Mobilized Assistance Supporting Translation (MAST) is an 8-step process. Its first 4 steps are used to quickly and naturally translate a draft of Scripture. Its last 4 steps are used to carefully develop the draft into a full translation, checking it for accuracy and clarity.
